1. Electricians/ Plumbers (employees)- These people are imperative as they are the people that actually get the work done for my company, and are the ones who actually go and be the face of the company.
2. Human Capital- This resource is also imperative in order for the people that work for me to be very skilled and professional in how they work and act on the job, it has to be perfected and cannot be replaced by anything else.
3. Financial capital- This resource is very important as it will keep the business running when we need more materials and physical capital.
4. Vans/ Trucks- These resources are very important when it comes down to traveling with all necessary materials to and from the houses of clients. They will pretty much have everything in them that will be used for the actual work, therefore they are very important. Also,
5. Wires, lights, etc.- All these things are very important resources as they are used in every job that we have and are utilized day-to-day in order to get the assigned jobs done.
6. Internet- This resource is vitally important for all of our advertising and communication between clients and the outside world.
I believe that the most important resource in my list is the Human Capital one. I believe that without skilled, professional, and knowledgeable employees and managers, the business will never thrive and become the esteemed company I plan on creating it to be. I think that this resource cannot be substituted for anything other than a smart and skilled person, and our people need to have such a special attitude and skillset that it will be hard to be beaten by competitors.

When I was doing this assignment it was kind of hard to think of all the resources, but yours seems pretty solid! I can tell you put a lot of thought into what resources you would be using.
ReplyDeleteJohn, it seems like you already have many resources available, which is something that can help you get a head start on you business idea. Many people do not have all those available resources, so this will get you ahead. I also like that you included the internet because I think that is a resource I know I took for granted because not all people have access to internet services.

If you can find a way to obtain funding to acquire capital, I think you will be on your way. I like how you thought your best skill was your human capital. Employees are a vital part of every business and they should be respected and treated appropriately so that a business can run at maximum proficiency.

However, what you chose to write is great. I can tell you put a decent amount of effort into your assignment. It seems like you have many resources available to you right now.
Hey John, I think you did a great job on this post. Although you did not get to all 10 resources, I think that it was a pretty difficult assignment. I had trouble thinking of ten different resources for my business idea in my post. Lastly, I definitely think that your human capital is your most important resource. Without this, you would not really have a business at all. The whole business idea is built of this idea of skilled and knowledgeable service workers, so I think that it is imperative that you have them lined up for your business.
